Peggy Higgins, 72, formerly of Princeton passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 in Alvarado, Texas. 

Peggy was born February 20, 1940 in West Salem, Illinois to Robert Phebus and Mary Harrison both deceased.

Peggy married Lloyd (Red) Higgins Sr. on Dec. 10, 1959. 

She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in three different states.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by daughter Teresa Lovett of Newburgh; son Lloyd Higgins Jr. of Evansville; eight grandchildren Christina (Zachariah) Sumner, Ian McCurry, Shane McCurry, Angel McCurry, Jarrid (Ashleigh) Lovett, Jordan Lovett, Abigail Higgins, and Rebecca Higgins; seven great grandchildren and expecting two more; three sisters; one brother, and many special friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Red of 46 years, son Timothy, and three brothers.

Funeral Services will be held graveside at 3 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 at Maumee Cemetery in Johnson, Ind. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life.

There will be no visitation at Colvin Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
