Malee “Molly” McGarrah, 59, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, at her home in Princeton.

 

She was born Feb. 12, 1953 in Singburi, Thailand to Tuek and Thonglor Jara, who preceded her in death. 

 

She came to the United States in 1975 from Thailand, and later became a citizen of this country. She considered herself a proud American. She was of the Buddhist faith. She lived in Princeton for the past 33 years. She was a life member of the V.F.W. post 1147 Ladies Auxiliary. She worked the bingos at the V.F.W. for many years.

 

Molly is survived by her husband, Joseph C. “Chuck” McGarrah of Princeton, two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Jennifer McGarrah, Franklin, Tenn., and Mark and Emily McGarrah of Indianapolis; special niece who was like a daughter, Nui Jara-Miller of California; sister, Chamras Fuller of California; two  brothers, Samruay Jara and Boomlung Jara both of Thailand, four grandchildren, Lauren, Jack, Katherine and Raphael McGarrah.

 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday August 16, 2012 at the Colvin Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Payton officiating. Final disposition will be at a later date.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral Home. There will be a V.F.W Ladies Auxiliary service at 7 p.m.
