Thelma L. Shaw, 88, of Fort Branch, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012 at Deaconess Hospice Center in Evansville.

 

She was born on June 3, 1924 in Fort Branch, to  Ennes and Ruby (Scales) Woolston, now deceased.

 

She was a member of the Wadesville General Baptist Church.

 

Besides her parents, Thelma is also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne O. Shaw, who passed away on June 20, 2002, a son, Richard Shaw in 1987, a grandson, David Shaw, and four brothers, William, Fred, Jerry, and Bob Woolston.

 

She is survived her children, Diana Shaw Knapp of Fort Branch, Gary Wayne (Tina) Shaw of Patoka, Kenneth Leon (Cindy) Shaw of Mulberry, Fla., Larry Joe (Janie) Shaw of Indianapolis, Kenny McGrew of Union City, Tenn., and daughter In-law, Barbara Shaw of Evansville. 

 

She is also survived by 10 brothers and sisters, Steve Woolston of Rockville, Bettie Shaw of Traverse City, Mich., Beulah Miller of Daleville, Carol Davis of Haubstadt, Donald Woolston of New Harmony, Kenneth Woolston of Morgantown, Judy Buck of Indianapolis, Dennis Woolston of Evansville, Zella Frey of Owensville, and David Woolston of Mitchell; 19 grandchildren, Terri Jarboe, Angela Pullum, Eric Knapp, Gary Shaw, Robyn Spindler, Kellie Harpenau, Jason Shaw, April Mann, Roxanna Mooney, Jodi Wade, Stacee Hirte, Lonnie Shaw, K. Bradley Shaw, Michael Shaw, Christopher Shaw, Jeffrey Shaw, Kaitlyn Shaw, Ian McGrew, and Mason McGrew, 29 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren..

 

Services for Thelma will be on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 at 11a.m. at the Stodghill Funeral Home, located on Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch. Pastor David Johnson will be officiating. Entombment will be in Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville.

 

Visitation will be Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. and again from 9 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
