Gerald A. Baehl, 81, of Haubstadt, passed away Thursday, Sept 13, 2012 at Pine Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Baehl had been employed at General Foods for forty one years before his retirement. Gerald also operated Baehl's Cabinet Shop for most of his life. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Edith Koberstein Baehl, his three daughters, Marlene (Gary) Fetter of Haubstadt, Debra (Jerry) Rietman of Evansville,and Karen (Joe) Ziliak of Haubstadt. Also surviving is his sister, Irmalinda Peterson of Mt. Vernon, IN., and his brother, Marcellus Baehl of Evansville, along with his ten grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
Gerald was preceded in death by his three sisters, Carolyn Schmitt, Evilda Pepper, and Elvira Hoefling and his three brothers, Roman, Firman and Alvin Baehl.

Funeral services for Gerald will begin at 10:00 A.M. Monday,
September 17, 2012
at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth Betz officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 until 7:00 P.M on
Sunday, at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, with a memorial service to be held at 1:00 P.M. Friends may also visit with the family from 9:00A.M.until service time on Monday at the Church.
