Franklin F. Douglas, 78, passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville.

 

He was born Jan. 7, 1934 at the home in Fort Branch the son of William and Artemesa (Woods) Douglas.

 

Frank is a graduate of Fort Branch High School class of 1952, member of the Bethlehem GeneralBaptist Church and the Princeton VFW. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a grain and livestock farmer.

 

Survivors include his brothers, Gerald (Pat), David (Karen), Roderic (Suzette) Douglas; sisters, Judy Pritchett and Mary Lou Douglas; step-children, Brenda Lee, Vicki Hulse and Fred Eaton; several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Dorothy; sister, JoAnn Douglas and brother, James Douglas.

 

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Ron Austin officiating. Burial will follow in the Blythe Cemetery with military graveside services conducted by the American Legion Post 51 and the VFW Post 1147.

 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
