PRINCETON—Douglas E. Guard, 62, of Princeton, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 in Lebanon, Tenn.

 

He was born on Aug. 26, 1950 in Mt. Carmel, Ill.  He lived in Gibson County most of his life.  He retired from Tri-State Monument Shop in Princeton. He was a member of Princeton Eagles Aerie 361 and Sons of American Legion Post 25.

 

He is survived by sons Doug “D.J.” Guard Jr. of Watertown, Tenn. and Joseph Guard of Sprato, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; brothers, Kenny Guard of New Haven, Ill. and Don Pollock of South Carolina; sisters, Beverly Sue Kelley of Francisco, Becky Hale of Bloomington, and Debbie Carter of Kempton.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Guard, and his mother, Helen (Young) Pollock in 2010.

 

A family memorial services is at  2 p.m. Saturday, Sept.  22, at Francisco Gospel Ministry Church.  Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is assisting the family.
