Dr. Gregory L. Johnson, 59, of  Franklin, Va. (formerly of Princeton), died Sept. 25, of cancer, at home.

 

He was born in Washington, D.C. Dec. 24, 1954.

 

He is survived by his wife, Mona, three children, Gregory Jr., Mina and Selena; one sister Annette (Bernard), two brothers, Kevin and Larry, eight sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

He graduated from Eastern High School Washington, D.C., Howard University Washington, D.C., University of Florida, Gainesville, Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., and at the time of his illness, he had been serving as general surgeon at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Va.

 

While living in Princeton, he was a surgeon at Gibson General Hospital.

 

Visitation is Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bowie, 2807 Church Road, Bowie, MD 20720, 301-262-2280. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will take place immediately following at Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
