FORT BRANCH—Gertrude M. “Gert” Weber, age 86, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

 

She resided in Fort Branch the past 20 years moving from Haubstadt.

 

Gert” was born Sept. 18, 1925 in Vanderburgh County to Anthony and Cecilia (Welte) Rexing, now deceased. 

 

She retired as a caregiver.  She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and formerly a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt.  She was a member of St. Bernadette Auxiliary 280.

 

Also preceding her in death were her husband, James R. Weber, Sr. in 1991, a daughter, Mary Ann Weber and a son, Christopher Weber;  a sister, Mary Jane Will;  and brothers, Robert and Eugene Rexing.

 

Gert” is survived by one daughter, Gina (Doug) Moss of Boonville; four sons; James R., Jr. (Delores) Weber and Thomas Weber of Vincennes, Stephen (Pam) Weber of Princeton and Gregory of Owensville; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters; Dorris Ann Orth of Indianapolis and Jo Ann Morris of Evansville; one brother, Jerome Rexing of St. Philip; and  several nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Ernst as celebrant.

 

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. CST Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Haubstadt.  Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
