Wesley Gene Georges, 49, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

 

He was born Dec. 14, 1962 in Oakland City the son of Larry Gene and Beverley (Dittmore) Georges.

 

Wes was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver for Georges Trucking and Excavating. He had attended Gibson Southern High School and he enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. Wes was an avid pool player, loved music, enjoyed a good western movie and reading. One of his favorite pass times was watching football, especially the Indianapolis Colts.

 

Survivors include his son, Larry Jon (Felicia) Georges; daughter, Blair Garland; one granddaughter, Reya Dawn Georges; father and his fiancé, Larry Gene Georges and Jacqueline Fulton; sisters, Kim (Roger) Elpers, Dana (David) Cummins, Jan (Dan) Wilzbacher and Brooke (Will) Adcock; grandmother, Mary Lucille Dittmore; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother Beverley; grandparents, Jim and Margaret Georges and John Dittmore; nephew, Justin Cummins.

 

Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Ft. Branch.

 

Visitation will be from noon until the service time at the funeral home.
