Roger Lee Greene, age 57, of Oakland City, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at the Gibson General Hospital located in Princeton.

 

He was born on Nov. 29, 1954 in Oakland City.

 

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was employed at the Wabash mine in Keensburg, Ill. And has been a lifelong area resident. He was also a member of the V.F.W. as well as the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #4288 and was a member of The Oasis Assembly of God Church in Princeton.

 

Survivors include his mother; Genevieve Johnson of Bradenton, Fla., Former wife and close friend for 23 years, Janene Enochs of Ft. Branch. Other survivors include his son; Brandon (Rachel) Greene of Evansville: daughter; Kara Greene of Princeton: son-in-law; Samuel Otto of Ft. Branch. Also surviving are his brothers; John (Alice Greene of Oakland City: Ron (Linda) Greene of Smiley, Texas: Larry Greene of Princeton: Don (Sharon) Greene of Fairfield, Ill.: sister; Cindy Greene of Bradenton, Fla.: grandchild; Ethan Greene as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

 

He is preceded in death by his step-father; Buford Johnson and daughter; Leah Marie Otto.

 

There will be a memorial service at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 with Brandon Greene officiating at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St. Princeton, IN 47670.

 

There will be a time of visitation with the family from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m.
