Laurana (Crain) Horn, 83, of Princeton, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at The Waters in Princeton

 

She was born Feb. 10, 1929 in Carbondale, Ill., to Roy and Ollie Crain.

 

Laurana and her husband Ray managed various truck stops in the early years of their marriage. Later, they managed the Gay Dan Restaurant in Princeton.  Throughout her life, Laurana also worked for JC Penney, State Farm Insurance and Hansen’s. Laurana was also a member of Fairview Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed reading and spending time with her husband, family, friends and pets.

 

Survivors include daughter Debbie Finke (Steve) of Greenwood; son, Scott Horn (Karen) of Princeton; four granddaughters, Amy (Randy) Chilton, Angie (Jon) Tesmer, Erin (Ron) Miller, Laura (Derick) Wiggins; and ten great-grandchildren, Nathan, Josh, Zach, Molly, Ethan, Ronnie, Bella, Riley, Josie and Ella.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 58 years, Ray; and a brother, Roy Crain.

 

Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at Fairview Presbyterian Church in Princeton

 

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.  Colvin Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
