Mary Louise “Mary Lou” Kiesel, age 79, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at The Waters of Princeton.

 

She was born Jan. 14, 1933 in Poseyville to the late James and Mary Ellen (Price) Martin. Mary Lou retired as a cook from Gibson Southern High School where she was known as “The Chicken Lady”.

 

She was a former member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, Gibson Southern basketball fan as well as a Willie Nelson fan. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking for her family. Also preceding her in death was her husband Ivan in 1992, a son Thomas and a grandson Eric Coomer

 

Mary Lou is survived by five daughters: Shirley (Bob) Brown of Patoka, Sue (Tom) Key of Fort Branch, Connie (Russell) Elpers of Haubstadt, Mary Stunkel of Haubstadt and Janet “Bug” (Les) Conner of Fort Branch. Four sons; Rick (Debra) Kiesel of Newburgh, Danny and Jerry Kiesel both of Haubstadt and Joe Kiesel of Newburgh. 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. One sister, Linda.  One brother, Jim Martin of Poseyville. Several nieces and nephews. 

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Ernst as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

 

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m.  Friends may also call from 9 a.m. until Mass time Saturday at the church.
