Shirley Ann Seib went peacefully to our Heavenly Father on October 4, 2012 in Knoxville, Tennessee after a brief illness.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Jacquelyn and her parents Albert and Viola Wilderman, her sister Alvera and her brothers Charles and Bob.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 52 years, Raymond Seib; three daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Amir Sarshuri of Newport News, Virginia, Janet and Dale Pearson of Knoxville, Tennessee and Julie and Mark Gentry of Maryville, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Jaclyn and Alexis Sarshuri, Savannah and Elizabeth Pearson, and Anthony, Allison, and Andrew Gentry. She also leaves behind her brothers Al and Cork, and two sisters Mary and Rita, many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Shirley loved many things: God, her loving husband and children, and a large host of friends. She was the most dedicated wife a husband could ever have. She loved most of all her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and family. Any time spent with them was treasured and loving memories created. Some of her favorite times were playing board games and cards with her family. She was passionate about her daffodils, day lilies, and square dancing. Shirley loved to cook and made the best apple pie that no one in her family will ever be able to recreate. Shirley was also a wonderful friend to many. A hole will be left in their lives forever. She knew, really knew, what it meant to be a friend. She will be forever missed.

Shirley was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and East Tennessee Daffodil Society, and was employed with First Tennessee Bank for many years.

The family received friends and family Saturday, October 6th, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa, Tennessee. Shirley will be buried at a graveside service, 10:00 A.M. Monday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Fort Branch, Indiana where she was baptized and married. She will be buried next to her darling infant daughter, Jacquelyn, who she is now lovingly holding in Heaven.

Visitation will be at the Stodghill Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Oct.7, 2012 Sunday evening.
