William J. Ward, age 81, of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.

 

He was born on April 30, 1931 in Princeton to William P. and Ina Isabelle (Shipp) Ward, both of whom precede.

 

He is a Korean War veteran serving his tour of duty as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a printer with the Vincennes Sun-Commercial newspaper for 28 years and was a member of Bethel Memorial Church of Princeton.  In 1954 he was married to Betty Davis, whom survives.

 

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Princeton; son; Russ Ward of Evansville; daughter: Tammy (Steve) Knight of Indianapolis. Other survivors include a sister: Elaine (Paul) Miller of Princeton; two grandchildren: Emma & Joe Knight. 

 

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday Oct. 30, 2012 at the Bethel Memorial Church located at 1520 S. Main St. Princeton with Pastor Kyle Powell officiating. Internment will take place in Columbia White Church Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Bethel Memorial Church of Princeton also on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m.
