Bryce Collins, 86, of Hazleton passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville.

 

He was born on October 3, 1926 to Mark and Hester Collins. 

 

Bryce was retired from Lin-Gas and pumping oil wells.  He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the Hazleton United Methodist Church.  

 

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Virginia (Gayer) Collins of Hazelton; 2 sons, Rick (Brenda) Collins and Dwight (Connie) Collins all of Hazleton; brother, Bill (Martha) Collins of Petersburg; 5 grandchildren, Misti, Shane and Leah Collins, Jennifer (Hank) Kirby and Rachel Luebbehusen; 4 great grandchildren, Austin Collins, Jaret VanPatten, Quincy Collins and Marissa Kirby.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Collins. 

 

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Mike Tarner. Burial will be at the Hazleton Community Cemetery

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Sunday at Colvin Funeral Home.  Military graveside services will by retired military veterans.
