Naomi K. Ellis, 89, went to her Heavenly home on Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at Gibson General Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton.

 

She was born April 13, 1923 in Princeton and resided here her entire life. She was the last surviving child of 15 children born to the union of Millard M. and Lillie E. (McFarland) Pavey.

 

She was retired from the former Potter & Brumfield Mfg. Company in Princeton, where she had worked for 35 years. Naomi had been a member of the First General Baptist Church in Princeton since 1964. 

She is survived by 3 children, Darwin (Marietta) Nelson, Lillie "Cappy" (Gerald) Fitch and Gary Nelson all of Princeton; 6 grandchildren, Chris Fitch, Robin Kermode, Scott Fitch, Brad Nelson, Tracy Young and Courtney Shuttle; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 2 step great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Melbourne "Dutch" Pavey, Marshall Pavey, Wilburn Pavey, Cecil Pavey, Adelia Caniff, Clyde Pavey, Edna Messersmith, Mamie Newton, Emma Herrin, Myrtle Moore, Beulah Whitehead, Ida Hale, Wanda Falls and Don Pavey; 2 husbands, Denver Wright and Hubert Ellis. 

Funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Brad Keenan officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton.

 

Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home.
