Virginia (Greenwell) Gray, 79 of Patoka, went home to be with the Lord on Thanksgiving Day, November 22. Ginny spent the last 18 months of her life at Oakland City Good Samaritan. 

Ginny was retired from Potter & Brumfield. After retiring, she enjoyed traveling by motorcycle with her husband Herb. 

Having no children of her own, she was grandmother to many nieces and nephews. Ginny helped her sister by keeping her son Kenny during the summer months, when he was growing up. She was a loving Godmother and devoted Aunt. 

Ginny was a quite, gentle person who lit up a room with her smile. She will truly be missed. 

She is survived by a stepson, Herb (Sara) Gray. Six brothers, one sister, and many nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Caroline and Joe Greenwell, sisters, Jeannette Meeks, Betty Grubb and brother, Tom Greenwell 

Funeral services will be held at
1 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Father Tony Ernst officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka.

 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour on Tuesday.
