Lowell F. Sipes, 92, of Winslow passed away on Nov. 28, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Amber Manor Nursing Home in Petersburg. 

Sipes was born in Monroe City on Aug. 11, 1920 to William and Bertha (Taylor) Sipes. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Doroty B. Melson Sipes on Sept. 3, 2003. 

He is survived by a son Richard F. Sipes of Winslow, a daughter, Sandra S. Smith of Winslow, five  grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. 

Services are scheduled at Harris Funeral home in Petersburg on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation on Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until services.
