Donald W. Straw, 69, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at Transcendent Health Care of Owensville.

He was born in Gibson County on June 18, 1943 the son of Curtis and Beulah (Moore) Straw.

Don graduated from Owensville High School in the class of 1961. He retired after 42 years from the Whirlpool Corporation and is a member of the First Christian Church of Owensville.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Nancy (Nottingham) Straw; son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Rhealynn Straw; daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Tim Dike; seven grandchildren, Donna and Brad Cupples, Shalonda Perkins, Chelsi Hughs, Nathan Embrey, Adam and Tori Dike; two great-grandchildren, Emilia Hughs and Josh Shae; brothers, Curtis Lee and James Straw; sisters, Lydia (John) Farmer, Martha Barker, Sharon (Ernie) Dillon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Taylor Dike; sisters, Judith Bybee and Phyllis Jean Varner.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Holders Funeral Home with Bart Newton officiating. Burial will be in the Maumee Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
