Kathy Lee Hardiman, age 61, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at her home.

 

She was born to Vera (Bostic) and Frederick O’Neal on October 10, 1951 in Fairfield, Ill.

 

She attended Hanover College and graduated from U.S.I. with a degree in Social Work in 1973. She was a substitute teacher and coached soccer from 1989 to 2000 when her Multiple Sclerosis impaired her driving. Kathy was a stay at home mother for many years.

 

She grew up singing in church and volunteered her time for many projects. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Kathy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Dennis; one sister, Kristy (George) Akers; one brother, Steve O’Neal; her summer children; Brian Richardson and Michael Wimbley. Her  only daughter, Erin (Eddie) Thomas; two grandsons, Damon and Logan; one granddaughter, Kalee and two step-grandsons; Jordan and Jalen; two nieces, Amanda and Sarah and two nephews, Michael and Timothy.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at Wade Funeral Home in Haubstadt with a Memorial Service beginning at 5 p.m.
