Larry Jon Whitehead, 52, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012 at Gibson General Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton.

He was born May 7, 1960 in Princeton.

Larry’s Down’s Syndrome was seen not as a handicap, but as a special blessing by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his father, Dick Whitehead of Princeton; brothers and sisters, Jim (Connie) Riley of Evansville, Karen Morris of Linton, Ann (Bill) Nash of Linton, Retta (Steve) Lindsey of Switz City, Darla (Don) Morrow of Patoka, Joe (Debbie) Whitehead of Linton and Dee (Jamie) Whitehead of Oakland City; sister-in-law, Susie Whitehead; and 51 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Mae Whitehead on Mar. 5, 2002 and a brother, Rick Whitehead on May 10, 1995.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton, with burial to follow.

There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is handling the arrangements.
