Clarence V. (Vince) Barrett, 92, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013 at River Point Health Campus in Evansville, IN.

 

Vince was born in Eldorado, IL to the late William and Clara (Fromme) Barrett on August 4, 1920, also preceding him in death was his son Greg Barrett in 2009 and a grandson, Alex Meny in 1997.

 

He was a veteran of WWII, retired from Emge Meat Packing, a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, and the American Legion Post #194.

 

Vince is survived by his wife of 68 years, Alice (Morrison) Barrett of Fort Branch, IN, children; Thersa (Shelby) Marshall of Evansville IN, Myra (Tommy) Hillerich of Louisville KY, Steve (Mary) Barrett of Fort Branch IN, Dennis (Jane) Barrett of Princeton IN, Mary (Randy) Meny of Haubstadt, IN, Jeff (Joy) Barrett of Fort Branch, IN, Laura (Bill) Goedde of Haubstadt, IN and a Daughter-in-Law, Judy Barrett of Fort Branch, IN, also Several Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Tony Ernst and Father Brian Emmick officiating.

 

Visitation will begin at 9:00 am at the church on Wednesday morning prior to the funeral. Entombment will be following at Holy Cross Mausoleum.
