Margery L. Carter, 84, of Princeton passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

 

She was born March 5, 1928 in Princeton to Samuel and Hazel (Grimm) Kimbrough.

 

Margery worked for Potter & Brumfield for 31 years. She was a member of Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton. She also was a member of the VFW #1147 Ladies Aux, Gibson General Hospital Aux., where she was treasurer of the gift shop, Golden Fleece Chapter #176 Order of Eastern Star. 

 

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Wayne (Jan) Carter of Ft. Branch, Alan Carter of Indianapolis, and Melinda (Charlie) Reed of Princeton; 8 grandchildren and 6 step grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 10 step-great grandchildren; brother, Richard “Dick” Kimbrough of Elkhart, IN; and a sister, Priscilla (Jesse) Gonzales of Tippecanoe.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years, Richard L. Carter in 2007.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Lisa Schubert Nowling officiating. Burial will be at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
