Robert J. “Bob” Conklin, 69 passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at his home in rural Hazleton.

 

He was born Jan. 25, 1944 in Owensville to Robert J. and Martha L (Daniels) Conklin.

 

Bob had lived in rural Hazleton for the past 20 years, moving there from Princeton. Bob retired in 2009 from Hurst Manufacturing after more than 25 years.  He was a member of the Columbia Masonic Lodge #750 in Patoka, also a member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed hunting and being outdoors.

 

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Mary Ann (Wiggins) Conklin; daughter, Robin Glover (Jerry) of Pittsburg, Kan.; son, Donald Conklin (Debbie) of Olathe Kan.; three sisters, Linda Anderson and Rosemary Wright of Lumberton N.C. and Sherri Ettleman of S.C.; one brother, Keith Ettleman of S.C.; seven grandchildren, Josh, Milissa, Amey, Lacee, Cody, Katie, and Logan; five great grandchildren, Cayleb, Carlee, Aiden, Brynn and Reese; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Conklin; his mother, Martha L. Conklin Bufford; brother, Jessie Darvin Conklin; and sister, Barbara Conklin. 

 

Memorial services were held at his home on Saturday Jan. 26 with family and friends celebrating his life. No other services or visitation will be held. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is entrusted with the arrangements.
