James A. Earles, 69, of Oakland City passed away on Monday Jan. 21, 2013 at Deaconess Gateway Heart Hospital in Newburgh.

 

James was born on July 20, 1943 in Oakland City to John E and Mabel (Alstadt) Earles, both deceased.

 

He was a member of the National Guard. He was a member of the McCullough Grove General Baptist Church of Oakland City. He retired from Whirlpool Corp. His hobbies were woodworking, collecting coins and shoe repair.

 

He is survived by his wife, Karen Earles of Oakland City; children, Greg (Amber) Earles of Oatsville, Kelly (Mary) Earles of Rochelle, VA, and Tara (Michael) Willett of Evansville; four grandchildren, Kyle Dersch, McKayla, Lydia and Corbin Earles; sisters, Jeannie Virden of Newburgh and Carol Ray of Vincennes; brothers, John A. Earles of Mayfield, KY, George W Earles, James D. Earles and John D Earles all of Vincennes; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at McCullough Grove General Baptist Church, 2476 S 1250 E, Oakland City, IN 47660, officiated by Pastor Kenneth Thomas.  Burial will be at the Somerville Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home, Oakland City and from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the church.
