Alvis R. (Bunk) Angle Jr., 80, of Princeton, passed away on Feb. 18, 2013 at Deaconess Heart Hospital in Newburgh.

 

He was born on Dec. 22, 1932 in Princeton, to the late Alvis R. Sr. and Sadie (Dill) Angle.

 

Bunk as he was known by his family and friends was retired from AMAX Coal in Keensburg, Ill. He attended the Fort Branch Wesleyan Church, and was a Korean War veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.

 

Besides his parents, Bunk was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jo Ann Wignall and Eva Lloyd.

 

He is survived by his wife, Sandra R. (Graham) Angle of Princeton, four children, Kevin (Kathy) Angle of Evansville, Joseph Angle of Princeton, Vickie Angle-Conner of Harvest, Ala., and Shawn Angle of Evansville, two brothers and a sister, John (Mary Ann) Angle Sr. of Francisco, Betty Cornneil of Big Sandy, Tenn., and Bill (Dee) Angle of Oakhurst, Calif. He is also survived by four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and children that he helped care for throughout the years.

 

Services for Bunk will be on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, Rev. Richard Comer, burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch

 

Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and again from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be provided by the Fort Branch VFW Post #2714 and the Haubstadt American Legion Post #194.
