Henry “Jack” Brown, 85, of Somerville, passed away Saturday at his home.

 

He was born in Somerville, Dec. 23, 1927 and had been a lifetime resident.

 

He was a fisherman and hunter, and a member of a coon hunters club. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean War. 

He is survived by a daughter, Carol (Keith) Montgomery of Somerville; a brother, Alvin Brown of Winslow; two grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Speedy of Plainfield, Indiana and Jennifer Clark of Fort Branch; two great grandchildren, Jack and Luke Speedy 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mildred Brown in 1999; an infant daughter, Janet Sue Brown and another daughter, Diann Enrietto; a sister, Hazel Hughes; three brothers, Tom, Clead and Harold Brown. 

Funeral services will be held at
10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with Pastor Tim Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Somerville Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Monday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home. Retired military veterans will provide military rites.
