Raymond J. DeBord, 82, passed away Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at his home. 

 

He was born Aug. 10, 1930 in Princeton to Fred and Blanche (Goodson) DeBord.

 

He had formerly worked for Hansen Mfg. in Princeton for a few years before moving to Mooreland in central Indiana where he operated a Greenhouse for 30 years and then returned to Princeton. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

 

Raymond is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dianna (Fortner) DeBord of Princeton; four children, Deborah (Tony) Lough of Mooreland, Tamara “Jo” (Vince) Whittle of Lafayette, Indiana and twins LaRae (Dave) Garrity of Lafayette and Ray II (Tracy) DeBord of Mulberry, Indiana; one brother, Ralph (Tibby) DeBord of Princeton; two sisters, Wanda Kramer of Fort Branch and Charlotte (Gilbert) Memmer of Evansville; 11 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and one step great grandson.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Frances Reed.

 

Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Jeff Pinney and Chaplain Scott Pilkington officiating.

 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.  Private burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
