Anita E. Peterson, 85 of Haubstadt passed away Tuesday Feb. 19, 2013 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

 

She was born Oct. 11, 1927 in Harvey, North Dakota to Nels and Anna Elizabeth (Hamburg) Olson. 

 

She retired after 45 years of being a Registered Nurse last working at the LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte

 

She had lived in Haubstadt for the past 19 years moving there from LaPorte.  She loved crafts, fishing, and gardening. She was an avid reader.

 

She is survived by three sons, Keith Peterson of Knox, Kirk Peterson (Barb) of Haubstadt and Kenneth Peterson of LaPorte; five grandchildren, Kelly Peterson, Amy Wallace, Ericka Obert, Alysa Peterson and Alex Peterson; and five great grandchildren. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert W. Peterson and a brother Norman Olson. 

 

There will be a visitation from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday Feb. 24, 2013 with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Fr. Tony Ernst will officiate the prayer service.  Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday Feb. 25, 2013 in the Chesterton Cemetery in Chesterton.
