David Lee Brown, 54 of Princeton, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville.

 

He was born on June 26, 1958 in Manchester, New Hampshire to Donald Sr. and Agnes (Eyer) Brown. 

 

He moved to Oakland City and graduated from Wood Memorial High School in 1976.  He then moved to the Fairview Community where he lived for 32 years. He was a member of the Fairview Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder. He was previously a firefighter with the Princeton Fire Department, but currently was the Chief of the Francisco Volunteer Fire Department.  He collected mustang memorabilia and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with children and grandchildren.

 

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Brown of Princeton; three children, Tiffany (Charles) Hamilton of Somerville, Makaylee Brown of Princeton and Jacob Brown (Autumn Neal) of Princeton; mother, Agnes Brown and stepfather, Don Williams of Evansville; five grandchildren, Oliver, Madison, Meredith and Mary Elise Hamilton and Bentlee Brown; sister, Lori (Darwin) Waite of Evansville; brother, Donnie (Jean) Brown of Evansville; step-brother, Jace Williams of Arizona; step-sister, Kristine (Jim) Gregory of Arizona; uncle, Ted Morris of Oakland City; aunts, Patty Kersey of Nashville, Tenn. and Karen Brown of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Brown, Sr. and brother Jeffrey Scott Brown.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Jerry Wibert officiating. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery near Princeton

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
