Brenda J. (Deffendall) Hicks, 61 of Francisco, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at her home.

She was born Nov. 16, 1951 in Mount Carmel, Ill. to Richard and Marlene (Witsman) Deffendall.

She was retired from Hurst Mfg. in Princeton where she had worked for 21 years. She was a member of Gentle Shepherd Church of God in Francisco.

Brenda is survived by her husband, David “Archie” Hicks of Francisco; a daughter, Bobbi M. (Boyle) Berry of Henderson, Kentucky; a son, Todd M. Boyle of Princeton; a sister, Teresa “Terri” Wilson and her husband, Terry of Princeton; a brother, Kelly B. Deffendall and his wife, Joyce L. of Princeton; two grandchildren, Clayton and Casey Berry; 4 step sons, David (Angie) Hicks, Mike Hicks and Rick (Dana) Hicks all of Francisco and Jackie (Michelle) Hicks of Princeton; 11 step grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Berniece James of Francisco; close friends, Mike (Debra) Boyle and John Bracher.
