ChristenaTena” (Gieselman) O’Neal, 94, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at her home in Somerville.

 

She was born April 30, 1918 in Pike County to Frank and Barbra (Doerner) Gieselman.

 

She had lived in Somerville area most of her life and was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a former Sunday school at the Presbyterian Church. 

 

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, ElVeda O’Neal of Lexington, Ky.; four grandchildren, MarVeda Rudd, Giselle Christmas, Mark and Steve Greenwell, nine great grandchildren, God son, Creg Chenault of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Mary O’Neal, Somerville; nieces and nephews June (Weiss) Avona, Arlene Brammer, Evelyn Hedges, Harold and Bob Gieselman and Marvin Brunner, special caregivers and nephew, Rex and Pansy O’Neal, other O’Neal nieces include, Rosemary Nossett, Pat Hunt, Judy Mallen and Peggy Christy.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Onie T. O’Neal in 2004, daughter, Jeanne Elaine O’Neal in 1968, son, Thomas R. O’Neal in 2006, brothers, Waldo, Gus, Harold, Frankie, Ray and Freddie Gieselman, sisters, Annie Nixon, Maggie Mason, Irene Weiss and Marie Bruner.

 

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with Rev. Darin Nossett officiating. Burial will follow in the Somerville Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
