Edna Violet Thorne age 87, of Princeton, passed away on March 13, 2013 at The Waters of Princeton located in Princeton.

 

She was born on Sept. 5, 1925 to Mont Cecil and Ethel Grace (Hart) Ivy, both of whom precede.

 

She was a lifelong area resident and worked for many years as a sales clerk at the Williams Shoe Hospital of Princeton and then retiring from the Green Thumb Association Janitorial Department. 

 

She is survived by sons; Robert Earl Eads of Owensville, Jerry Dale Eads of Princeton, Thomas Lee Eads of Princeton, Stanley Ray Eads of Mount Carmel, Ill., daughters; Rena Pearl Burdick of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla., Neila Marie (Tim) Miskell of Princeton, and Nancy (Jim) Trottier of Mount Carmel. Other survivors include sister, Marjorie Gayle Ivy of Chicago, and over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, sons; Terry David Eads, Herbert Alan “Dink” Thorne, daughters; Georgia Helen Brown, Donna K. Tinney, brothers; John Ivy, Dexter Ivy, Jack Ivy and Wayne Ivy and sisters; Vada V. Akers, Lois Batey, Monte Sensabaugh and Shirley Ivey.

She loved her family and devoted herself to each and every one of them.

The family would like to offer special thanks to all of the nurses and aids that were involved in caring for Edna. Special thanks also go to Vista Hospice for the care that was provided.

Funeral services will be on Saturday March 16, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Doyle Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Meadows officiating. Interment will take place at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, IN.

Visitation will be on Friday March 15, 2013 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St. in Princeton, IN. 47670.
