Jack W Laswell 78 of Oakland City, IN. entered rest on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

He was born on September 16, 1934 Gibson County, IN to Luther and Delema (Coleman) Laswell.

He was member of Oakland City Fire Dept. for 52 years where he was Assistant Fire Chief, also retired from Whirlpool Corporation. Jack was a lifetime member of A.M.A and NRA.

He was preceded in death by wife of 55 years Marjorie Laswell on Sept. 13, 2010

He is survived by daughters: Lisa (Paul) Rathgeber of Ramsey, IN. Marcia (Charles) Yates of Winslow, IN; Son: Steven Laswell of Haubstadt, IN; Brothers: David Laswell of Winslow, IN, Wayne Laswell of Indianapolis, IN; Sister: Eva Broshears of Oakland City, IN; Grandchildren Jacob (Courtney) and Bryce (Julie) Yates, Brianna (Mark) Miller and Jordan Laswell, Ethan, Zane and Madeline Rathgeber; Great Grandson: Abel Miller

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M.at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Augusta Cemetery, in Augusta IN.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and from 8:00 A.M. until services on Saturday. A Fire Department memorial services will be Friday at 7:00 P.M. at the chapel.
