Marie LePage died peacefully on April 28, 2013 at Lighthouse Inn in Pompano Beach, Fla.

She was born Oct. 15, 1913, the daughter of Arch and Nellie Carnahan.

Marie was an active volunteer for many years in Princeton. She was President of the Gibson County Council on Aging. Volunteer Chairlady of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary, Treasurer of the Gibson County Mental Health Association, a member of the Association of St. Francis of Assisi at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Democrat precinct committee person for the 6th district and ran the bingo at the Knights of Columbus Hall for over 40 years. 

In 1997 she was named Gibson County Volunteer of the Year. She was a life time member of the Daughter’s of Isabella, a member of the Lady Elks, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Marie loved to play cards, read and travel. She had taken several trips with her daughters and she treasured those memories. One time she was asked what her favorite sport was, she answered, if cards playing’s a sport, that’s it. 

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Romeo LePage.

She is survived by her daughters, Sue Beall of Pasadena, Calif. and Judy (Ben) Smith of Holland, Mich. her brother Norman Carnahan of Russellville, Ark. six grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday , June 22, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with a visitation starting at 10 a.m. The Rev. Father Ron Zgunda will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
