Olive L. (Godwin) Rainey, 89, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, S.C.

She was born August 2, 1923 in Princeton to Albert G. and Katie B. (McCormick) Godwin.

She was a registered x-ray technician during the war.

Olive is survived by two sons, Lester Rainey of Seneca, S.C. and William “Bill” Rainey of Austin, Texas; three grandchildren, Liv Rainey-Smith, Jessica Rainey and Katherine Rainey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Marvin and Garland Godwin; husband, Gilbert L. Rainey in 1998 and a son, Randall Alan Rainey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Barry Wynveen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka. 

Visitation will be from noon until the service hour on Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home.
