Evedene Sloan, 96, of Patoka passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

 

She was born October 13, 1916 in Patoka to Ben and Floe (Turpin) Alvis

 

Evedene and her husband owned/operated the Sloan Cafe in Patoka for approximately 20 years. She was a member of the Patoka United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Patoka Homemakers Club. 

 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn (David) Hudson of Patoka; three grandchildren, Ron (Kathy) Hudson of Patoka, Maria (Bob) Stone of Patoka and Rick Hudson of Evansville; and 4 great grandchildren, Kayla and Alyssa Hudson and Andy and Matt Stone.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Perry Ray Sloan in 1982.

 

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Jeff Pinney officiating. Burial will be in the Decker Cemetery north of Princeton.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. on  Saturday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
