Mary Alice Alldredge, 83 of Princeton passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility.

 

She was born in Princeton, Oct. 30, 1929 to Paul and Mary Helen (Whittaker) Montgomery. 

 

She was a retired sales clerk working at DeMoss Drug Store and then C.V. S. in Princeton for 15 years.  She had lived in Princeton all of her life. She was a member of the First General Baptist in Princeton. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and crocheting. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in their different activities. She enjoyed water skiing and was good at it even though she didn’t know how to swim.

 

She is survived her five children, Billy Alldredge, Paul (Carolyn) Alldredge, Mary (Tim) Coomer, Ed (Sue) Alldredge and Cindy (Dennis) Whitehead all of Princeton; sister, Connie Turpin of Princeton; 10 grandchildren, Leah Shaw, A.J. Alldredge, Tristan Hatten, Kathy Marsh, Stephanie Bingham, Kassi Alldredge, Brian Alldredge, Amy Laakman, Josh and Seth Whitehead; 15 great grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews including, Jeni Firkins, Jody Craven, P.J. and Charlie Turpin.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Herbert “Gene” Alldredge in 1981 and a sister, Marcia Morris.

 

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Brad Keenan officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbia “White” Church Cemetery

 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
