Dona Belle Hunley 86 of Winslow, IN entered rest on Wednesday May 22, 2013 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

 

She was born on Jan 23, 1927 in Coe, IN to Rev. Frank and Sibel (Richeson) Farmer.

 

The family moved to Arthur when she was six years old and attended grade

School at Coe and Arthur and graduate from Winslow High School where she was active in musical activities and was school pianist during four years of high school.

 

Dona Belle married on September 15, 1946 to Kenneth Hunley and he preceded her in death on October 7, 2010.

 

She entered Oakland City University in fall of 1949 was active in musical activities, where she was member of F.T.A. and Glee Club. She received a B.S. with major in business and music.  She received a MS in Education from Indiana University. She taught for six years at Spurgeon and

moved to Boonville, IN and retired from teaching after 33 years. She enjoyed candy making at Christmas and directing and presenting musical activities and that ability was a great asset in her father's ministry.

 

She is survived by cousin: Iona Froman of Coe, IN and Catherine Ellison of Florida.

 

Caregivers: Jerry and Glenda Lee of Oakland City, IN.

 

Funeral services will be Saturday May 25, 2013 1:00 P.M.CST Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with burial in Spurgeon Cemetery. Rev. Terry Beadles will be officiating.

 

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. CST on Friday and from noon until services on Saturday at chapel.
