Denver Jones age 99 of Mount Olympus, passed away on Tuesday, May 7th, 2013 at the VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Center located in Evansville.

 

Denver was born on Jan., 14, 1914 in Mount Olympus, to Jacob and Maude (Collins) Jones, both of whom precede

 

He was a lifelong farmer and worked at Potter & Brumfield Manufacturing for a period of 17 years.  He was married to Evelyn Wilson for 57 years, until her death in 2011. Denver was a lifelong Farm Bureau member that loved farming and raising livestock and was especially known in the area for his Belgian horses. He was also a former member of the Rural Youth Organization.  

 

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and brothers; Paul, Gene and Roscoe Jones as well as sisters; Cecil Yegerlehner, Medora Palmer, Eunice Jones, Agnes Grubb and Mary Bigham.

 

Survivors include; daughter, Faith (Dave) Clark of Haubstadt, sons, John (Janet) Jones of Evansville, & Tim (Pam) Jones of Hazelton. Other survivors include grandchildren; Matt (Laura) Clark, Jan & Abbie Clark, Jordan, Lexie, Haley, Cori, Gracia Jones as well as; Kelly (Daniel) Bailey, Clint (Kayla) Stanton, Emily, Jaime & Kristi Jones. Great grandchildren; Denver & Colt Clark and McKenna & Carter Bailey.

 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013 with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St., Princeton, IN 47670. Internment will take place in Shiloh Cemetery near Hazleton.

 

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 9th, 2013 at Doyle Funeral Home.
