Paula E. (Alvis) Doan, 58, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel.

 

She was born October 29, 1954 in Princeton the daughter of Paul Edward Alvis and Sylvia L. (Riggs) Alvis.

 

Paula graduated from Princeton High School in 1972 and from Wabash Valley College with a degree in Business management. She was a Chemical Operator for Duke Energy where she was employed for 33 years, also a member of the IBEW Local 1393.

 

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Doan of Mount Carmel; sons, Barry (Stacey) Whitehead of Petersburg, Clint (Amy) Whitehead of Evansville, Dillon Doan of Mount Carmel; six grandchildren, Leslie, Cody, Amber, Shuana, Jessey and Shelby Whitehead; sisters, Karen (JR) Hall, Janice (Roy) Byrns; brothers, Paul (Liza), Charles (Lois), William (Heather) Alvis, Gary (Sally) Stott; several nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and step-mother, Mary Alvis.

 

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Brad Delp officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
