Joe Francis Ford, 83, passed from this earth to his heavenly reward on June 10, 2013 at his residence.

He was born to Mark Highwood and Nannie E. (Whiting) Ford in 1928.

Joe graduated from Mt. Olympus High School on April 22, 1946.

On January 30, 1948 he married Jo Ann Crabtree in Henderson, Kentucky.

Joe spent his entire vocational life as a farmer. Joe was a member of, and attended, Old Union Christian Church. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family. Joe and Jo Ann were blessed with two children, Thomas Steven (Kathy) Ford of Terre Haute, IN and Vicki Lynn (James) Harless of Anderson, IN.; six grandchildren, Aaron (Melissa), Amber, Caleb (Laura Beth), Isaac (Erin), Brandon (Ashley) Joe Micah (Talisha),; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Mark Ford of Robinson, IL.; several nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ralph, Ernest, Earl and Gerald; sisters, Pauline Harbison, Mary Helen Schroeder and Lois Block. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday June 14, at Holders Funeral Home with Baret Fawbush and Bart Newton officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
