James Edward Straw 83, of Princeton, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Home and Rehabilitation Center in Oakland City.

 

He was born Dec. 20, 1929 in Mount Carmel, Ill., to John and Sadie (Williams) Straw, both of which have preceded.

 

On July 25, 1964, in Princeton he was married to Marjorie Catherine Phillips.

 

He was a self employed truck driver and welder for many years and attended Bethel Memorial Church of Princeton.  

 

He is survived by: his wife, Marjorie of Princeton; sons, James Jr. (Bonnie) Straw of Mt. Vernon, Mark (Tammy) Straw of Petersburg and Danny (Caroline) Straw of Sandborn. Other survivors include: daughter, Charlene McClellan of Owensville; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Earl, George and Johnny as well as sister; Naioma Williams.

 

Funeral services will be on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St., Princeton, 47670, with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating.  Internment will take place in Columbia White Church Cemetery of Princeton.

 

Visitation will be Friday June 14, 2013 from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11a.m. at the funeral home.
