Otto Edward Neyhouse, 80, Oakland City, entered rest on Thursday July 25, 2013 at his home.

He was born Oct. 15, 1932 in Warrick County, to Edward and Ernestine (Michel) Neyhouse.

Otto retired from Whirlpool in 1992 and was a farmer his entire life and in earlier years, a 4-H leader. He served in the U.S. Army and was a 22-year member of First Southern Baptist Church in Evansville.

He enjoyed farming, being outdoors, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Otto was preceded in death by parents, sisters Elda Meeks and Lorene Mrazz and brother’s Reuben and Arnold Neyhouse.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary (Riley) Neyhouse of Oakland City; a son, James Buck of Oakland City; sister, Ada Mrazz of Johnstown, N.Y.; brother, Ervin Neyhouse of Princeton; grandchildren Kelly (Brad) Luedeke of Columbus, and Jason (Brooke) Buck of Oakland City; great-grandchildren: Joshua , Benjamin and Ava Luedeke, Ragan and Rhyan Buck as well as several nieces and nephew.

Funeral services are Tuesday, July 30, at 10 a.m. be Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel, with burial in Providence Cemetery. Rev. Don Moore will officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday at the chapel and from 8 a.m. until services on Tuesday.
