Highla Ellen Kiessling, 95, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013 at Lutheran Life Villages in Fort Wayne.

Born in Princeton Highla worked as a Law Librarian with Lincoln National Corp for 35 years, retiring in 1983. 

She was a member of Southmoor Singers; Taylor University Supporter; Charter member of American Business Women’s Association; Johnny Appleseed Chapter with 40 years of perfect attendance; Senior Citizen’s Bible Sunday School Class; member of Loyal Service Club at Lincoln National Life, and faithful member of First Missionary Church for over 50 years. Highla was a prim and proper lady who loved flowers, music and getting her hair done every Thursday. 

Surviving are her special friend, Gaylord Conrad of Fort Wayne, close friends, Harold (Naomi) Jewett of Fort Wayne, many nieces and nephews. Highla was preceded in death by parents, John and Maude Peed, husband, Herbert Kiessling brothers, Kermit and John Peed. 

Service is 11a.m., Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at First Missionary Church, 701 W Rudisill Blvd with calling one hour prior, Rev. Jim Johnson, Rev. Joe  Snider officiating.  Calling at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue Thursday, September 5, 2013 4-7 p.m. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
