Alvah Stephen Lavanway, 73 of Princeton, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at his home.

He was born on July 4, 1940 to Alvah Stephen and Phyllis (Coger) Lavanway.

He served in the Navy and worked as a carpenter for 40 years (Local 90) retiring in 1993. He loved fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife Tamara and 5 children: Mitchell Lavanway, Heidi Means, Chris Ann, Terry Lavanway and Allen Arnold; 2 brothers David Lavanway & Alfred Babb; 3 sisters Nancy Waltz, Emily Bishop & Phyllis Landis; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and favorite dog Abby Lynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Holly Joe Beltran.

Private family services will be held. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is assisting the family.
