Dorothy M. Chamness, 96 passed away Saturday Feb. 1, 2014 at Jasper Memorial Hospital in Jasper, IN.

She was born July 25, 1917 in Fairbanks, IN to Elza and Bertha (Clouse) Harris.

She had lived in Otwell the past eleven years moving there from Petersburg. 

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Hall of Otwell; 2 grandchildren, Renee Myers of Terre Haute and Steven Hall of Boonville; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, sister, Virginia Boes of Terre Haute. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Floyd L. Chamness in 2000, sisters Doris Pugh and Pauline Harris. 

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. E.S.T. Saturday February 8, 2014 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City with Rev. Dan Gilley and Rev. Darrell Wineinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg.

Visitation will be from 11a.m. E.S.T. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
