Roy A. Montgomery, 61, of Princeton passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Evansville.

He was born on October 4, 1952 in Princeton, IN to Stancil and Marjorie Montgomery.

He loved fishing and belonged to the Brotherhood of Catfisherman Association. Roy also loved to read western novels. He was a retired employee of Gibson County and H.B. Zachary. 

He is survived by his wife Linda “Kaye” Montgomery; three children: Ernest “EJ” (Kelly) Montgomery, CO; Ryan (Tabetha) Montgomery, Princeton, IN; Ashley (Justin) Cleveland, Princeton, IN; mother Marjorie Montgomery, Princeton, IN; two sisters Joyce Humphreys, Owensville, IN; Donna (Rex) Wright, Rockford, IL; one brother Tony (Becky) Montgomery, Oakland City, IN; five grandchildren Trenton Montgomery, Serenity Dodson, Jacoby Cleveland, Bryleigh Cleveland, Chase Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father in 1977. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Ron Carpenter. Burial will be at the Hights Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Tuesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
