Owensville, IN Edith Ellen (Leister) Henry, 67, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Gibson General Hospital.

She was born January 12, 1947 in Owensville the daughter of Darby D. and Versie E. (Tucker) Leister.

Edith was a graduate of Owensville High School class of 1965, attended USI and became certified in dietary management. She was a member of the Owensville General Baptist Church. She was employed at the Owensville Convalescent center for 20 years and was the Dietary Manager.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, John Dale Henry, children, Linda Henry, Georgia (Tommy) Straw, Lorri (Todd) Kennedy, Rick Henry and fiancée Rachael Stoll; 9 grandchildren, Ashley (Logan) Morton, Kyle and Lexi Henry, Tanner, Tyler Straw, Mya Martin, Dalton, Dillon and Gage Wright; brother, Alfred Leister; sister, Mary Compton; special cousin, Sherill Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jim L. Patterson.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday May 2, 2014 at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Bob Douglas officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday May 1, at the funeral home.
