Chester David Royal age 71, of Princeton, passed
away Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Deaconess Hospice Care Center in
Evansville.
He was born Nov. 16, 1942 in Bicknell to Roy and
Louise (Gasser) Royal. David was a warehouseman for Elston
Richards Inc. in Evansville for many years. On March 16, 1963, in
Vincennes, he was married to Janice F. Miller. Together they were members of
Princeton Holiness Tabernacle of Princeton.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Janice Royal
of Princeton, Son, Tony (Faith) Royal of Philipsburg, PA and daughter, Kim
(Jim) Slater.
Other survivors include brother, Roy Jr. (Linda)
Royal of Evansville, and sisters; Jane Royal of Vincennes, Linda (Nip) Miller
of Sullivan, Liz Thurston of Vincennes, grandchildren; Angel Slater of
Princeton, Brian Slater also of Princeton and Sherrie Royal of Philipsburg, Pa.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 25,
2014 at Doyle Funeral Home located at 520 S. Main St., Princeton, IN 47670 with
Revs. Larry Meadows and Tony Royal officiating. Internment will take
place in Owensville Cemetery, Owensville, IN.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 4-8
p.m.
